Main areas:

The exterior is crafted from natural, sustainable materials that blend seamlessly with the surrounding landscape. The façade is finished with natural limestone mortar, echoing the textures and tones of traditional architecture. Flooring, made from eco-conscious materials, extends from indoors to outdoors, further enhancing this continuity. The result is a home that feels fully integrated with its environment, offering a unique blend of comfort and natural beauty.

The interior reflects both quality and natural aesthetics, using continuous gypsum mortar flooring for a seamless look. Mineral-based paints provide a healthy and eco-conscious finish to the walls, while natural wood joinery adds warmth and craftsmanship to every corner. The integration of interior and exterior spaces enhances the quality of natural light, offering sweeping views of the landscape and fostering a strong connection to the surrounding environment.

At Mirai Homes, we sought an architecture that is more focused on experience and energy. We have moved away from standardized materials, choosing instead those with roughness, textures, and tactile qualities that shape spaces with inertia. Our aim is to provoke unexpected connections that generate new sensations.

Lanzarote offers an unparalleled setting for a Mirai Homes

The island’s year-round mild climate, abundant sunshine, and commitment to sustainability align perfectly with our vision of eco-conscious living. As a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, Lanzarote exemplifies the harmonious balance between natural beauty and human habitation that we strive to achieve in every Mirai Home.

César Manrique and His Legacy

César Manrique was an influential artist and architect from Lanzarote, known for his dedication to preserving the natural environment and integrating it with art. His works transformed the perception and development of Lanzarote, promoting a balance between progress and respect for nature.

Among his most notable works are the Jameos del Agua, an impressive cultural space built within a volcanic cave; the Mirador del Río, offering spectacular views of the Chinijo Archipelago; the Jardín de Cactus, showcasing an impressive collection of cactus species; and the César Manrique Foundation, located in his former home-studio, now serving as a cultural center.

Natural Environment of Lanzarote

Lanzarote is characterized by its unique volcanic landscape and commitment to environmental conservation. The island boasts an impressive diversity of natural parks and protected areas: the most famous being the Timanfaya National Park with its volcanic scenery. Additionally, the Natural Park of the Volcanoes and the Natural Monument of La Corona offer hiking routes and spectacular views.

Lanzarote has also been declared a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, emphasizing its commitment to environmental conservation. The flora and fauna include endemic species such as the Haría lizard and plants adapted to the island’s arid conditions, like the tabaiba and verode.

“We live such a short time on this planet that each of our steps must be aimed at building more and more of the dreamed utopian space. Let’s build it together: it’s the only way to make it possible.”

César Manrique
